Art is a fundamental part of the culture of humankind. It cannot be defined or gauged using quantitative measures. Human nature is always individual, and can have a powerful connection with the aesthetic, with appreciation of it and longing for it. In Tuomo Seppo's case, this trait already emerged very clearly in his youth. It instinctively guided him into the realms of music and of what was to become crucially important: visual art. For Tuomo Seppo art collecting has never meant a traditional buyer/seller relationship, but a long-lasting fellowship and friendship with the artists whose work he admires. This temporal arc spanning decades incorporates many different events and stories. The result is one of Finland's most important private collections.
