Kajaanin Art Museum celebrates the city’s 375th anniversary with a special cutting board featuring the oil painting Two Rowans, Lehtola (1956) by H. Ahtela.

The cutting board also works beautifully as a serving tray, an excellent gift item, or a decorative element in the kitchen.

Forest manager Einar Reuter, known by his artist name H. Ahtela, moved to Kajaani with his family in 1931. He is known as a painter, art and literary critic, writer, art scholar, and collector, as well as for his friendship with Helene Schjerfbeck.

The artwork by H. Ahtela, donated by Kajaani Oy in 1976, is part of the City of Kajaani Art Collection and is on display at City Hall. The collections are our shared cultural heritage – and this product celebrates the anniversary theme “Together.”
